How to create a Free Product offer /redemption in WooCommerce?

In order for you to create a Free Product offer or redemption in the WooCommerce, you have to follow the steps below: 

  • First, you click on Offers on the left under the main menu or Redemptions depending on which you want to create. 
  • Then to start creating the offer, press on Create an Offer.
  • While creating the offer or redemption, you add the reward type as Free Product Integration. 

  • This will give you access to the Product button when you scroll down in the optional parameters. 
  • Once you click the Product button, it will show you all the products available. If you have multiple integrations, make sure to choose the products under the WooCommerce section. In case you couldn't find the products on the display directly, you can search via the ID in the search bar.

  • If you want to know where to find the ID,  click on the "Where do I find this?"  button to know where to find it in WooCommerce
  • Going to the WooCommerce, click on Products within the main menu on the right, then press on All Products
  • Then, once in the All Products section, you can hover your mouse over the item required and the ID number will appear as so:
  • For example, the ID for the above is 25. So you copy the ID and paste it in the Search Bar back in the Kangaroo Business Portal.
  • When you find the product or item requested and select it back in the Kangaroo Business Portal, proceed with creating the offer or redemption normally. 

  • Kindly inset all the required steps such as entering the title, type of reward and image according to the requirements provided for the image. 
  • If you want to know the requirements of the image, hover over the Image section and it will show you. 
  • After pressing on Next, you will have to choose the audience the offer or redemption is targeted to. It's either All Customers, Targeted, or Tier Customers. 
  • Then, the next time will be to set the conditions of the offer/redemption. Whether it's the start date, end date, location, if you want any combinations with the offer/redemption and frequency of the offer/redemption. 
  • Within the optional parameters, choose what suits best the offer you're creating. 
  • As for the redemption, the only difference from the offer is that you'll have to choose the number of points to be redeemed. As redemptions are based on points. 
  • Finally, the last step is the finalization process that shows the overview of all that's selected i the offer or redemption. If all is as selected, kindly press save.
