Import Transactions.
If you have transactions that you would like to import into Kangaroo Rewards, the Import Transaction will allow you to do this.
This feature is very useful, especially for a business that uses a POS, CRM or another system that is not integrated with Kangaroo.
There is no restriction on how frequently customer transactions can be imported; daily, weekly, or monthly, it is up to you. Importing customer transactions doesn’t change how points are earned. The basic earning ratio in place will remain and points will be earned based on this. Your loyalty program’s redemption process will also be unchanged, so redeeming will still be done through the tablet, web app, and in the case of partner rewards, through the phone app. New customers with transactions will automatically be added to your loyalty program.
It is also possible to reward customers with points only without adding the amount spent.
The transaction list you will import needs to be in CSV format. After you select the CSV document, you will select the field delimiter and can choose a text delimiter if you want to upload multiple values to the transaction, like tags for example. The next part is where you map out the columns. Amongst the mappable fields are four required fields. The list of imported transactions must include:
- Branch => The transaction needs to be placed under the right branch
- Phone Number or Email Address => To identify or create the customer
- Date and Time => Each transaction must be unique, so a date & time stamp is needed
- Transaction Amount => To be able to assign points to the transaction
You will also be able to map out the first name, last name, country, transaction points, phone & email address, SMS consent & email consent, and tags. Then you upload, check the results, and then the importing process will start.
After the import is completed you will have access to a small report to be able to see duplicates, failed, and successful transactions.
