Enable Adjust Balance and Refund Transaction Permissions in the Merchant App
To allow employees to adjust a customer’s point balance or process refund transactions from the Merchant App, you must enable the features in two places:

From the Business Portal settings, to make the actions available in general.

From the Roles & Permissions, to assign access to specific employees.
⚠️ If either step is skipped, the features will not appear in the Employee Menu of the Merchant App.
Step 1: Enable the Rules from the Business Portal

Log into the Business Portal.

Go to Settings.
-
Click on Apps & Integrations.

Locate the Merchant App widget and click the Settings icon.

Scroll down to the Transactions section. .

Enable the following options:

Enable Refund Transaction
-
Enable Adjust Balance Transaction
-
-
Click Save to apply changes.
These rules must be enabled first before assigning them to any employee.
Step 2: Assign the Permissions via Roles & Permissions

Go to Roles & Permissions from the Business Portal.

Click Create Role.
-
Enable the Is Clerk option.

Under permissions, enable:

Adjust Points Rule
-
Refund Transaction Rule
-
-
Make sure to grant Create and Update access for both.

Save the role.
-
Assign this new role to the employee(s) who will be logging into the Merchant App.
Once both steps are completed, the employee will see Adjust Balance and Refund Transaction options under the Employee Menu in the Merchant App across Web, iOS, and Android.
