System Messages.
A messaging system manages the channels that define the paths of communication between the applications and the sending and receiving of messages.
When a new customer signs up for your loyalty program or becomes a VIP member of your Tier program, sending them a welcome or congratulatory message can be key to helping your program be successful. Any business running a loyalty program needs to be notified about various admin activities.
Customer system notifications are sent to your loyalty program members.
Admin system notifications are sent to an admin user that you can specify in the business portal.
Customer System Notifications
The various customer-facing system notifications include:
New Member Welcome Message - When a customer joins your Loyalty Program, they are sent a welcome message indicating their account has been activated. The message includes a verification link. When the customer verifies their membership account, they will be prompted to create a PIN.
Tier Status Changed Message - Automated messages can be sent to members anytime their tier status changes. If you do want to take advantage of this option, you’ll find the setting to enable automated notifications for customer tier status changes in the Rules section of the business portal.
Referral Program - When a referral is made, messages are sent to the referrer and the newly-referred. Furthermore, when the referred person converts and joins your loyalty program, the referrer receives a new message. You can add a customized text to these messages.
Forgotten PIN / Password - Loyalty program members are sent system notification messages when they request a new PIN or password reset.
What determines if a customer system notification is sent by email or SMS?
The method of delivery is dependent on the email and/or cell number of your loyalty member.
SMS: Customers with only a phone number are sent system notifications by SMS.
Email: Customers with only an email, or an email AND a cell number are emailed system notifications.
Admin System Messages
System notifications are emailed to keep you informed of important activities. The various system notifications include:
Draw Winners - Notification of the draw winners; each respective draw winner will also be notified.
Redemption of Partner Rewards - Notification for when a partner reward is redeemed, so your an take action
Completed Marketing campaign: - An email will be sent to give your an overview of the campaign that was just sent.
Exported Reports - An email with a link to download exported reports.
Potentially Fraudulent Activities - If you opt to block purchases exceeding a definable amount, if there’s an attempt to run a sale that exceeds that amount, a message is emailed. You can also elect to be notified when a definable number of rewards are earned and redeemed within a 24 hour period.
