Employees and Kangaroo.

Kangaroo Loyalty program is built on employee-customer interaction. It involves both employees/clerks/merchants/owners and the customers.

The business admin or owner can give employees different permissions from the Kangaroo business portal.

  • Portal users: They can create credentials for them to access the business portal. A portal user has by default access to all Kangaroo’s features unless the business changes its roles and permissions (ask your support representative for more information on that feature).
  • Tablet users: They can create credentials to access the Merchant app only to limit their access to Kangaroo and the modification they can make.

Employees can access the merchant app with the “tablet credentials” created for them. When logged in with their own credentials, the business can track who made each transaction.

Moreover, the business can also enable some rules that apply to the tablet for more security and control.
Here are some of the rules related to the employee:

  • Employees must enter their ID when the purchase amount exceeds a certain amount.

The business can activate this rule to make sure no false transactions are being processed.

  • Give employees the option to use their Employee Pin to redeem points on behalf of customers.

This allows employees to redeem points for customers by entering their Pin. This can make it easier for customers once they get help from employees.

  • Employee pin is mandatory to allow customers to redeem their points.

This makes it mandatory for employees to enter their Pin whenever a customer wants to redeem points.

  • Tablet-to-tablet option: The business can activate a parent and child tablet. This way the employees will only operate on the parent tablet for more control as well.
